Founded in 2003, the venture aims to set new benchmarks for premium experiential travel in a unique Australian style. The company’s passion and integrity stem from years of industry experience. James was founding Managing Director of P&O Australian Resorts and Hayley worked for more than a decade on board the world’s best expedition ships creating programs to enhance guests’ nature and adventure experiences.
In early 2008 the world-class Southern Ocean Lodge on Kangaroo Island opened as South Australia’s new icon. The dramatic coastal national park location, architectural integrity, locally influenced cuisine and personalised interpretive adventures ensure this new entrant immediate success as an international destination of choice.
Capella Lodge on World Heritage listed Lord Howe Island was the first property in this exciting boutique portfolio and is favoured by discerning guests seeking a more civilized, stylish and sophisticated escape.
Remarkable Lodge located on Tasmania's dramatic Tasman Peninsula, will continue the Baillie Lodges vision and is due to open in 2010.
